M2 HP Skin Refinish available at SkinCareRX
I was sent a bottle of M2 HP Skin Refinish from SkinCareRX, an online company specializing in skin products, to try out and write an honest opinion regarding its efficacy. It is said to use a high-potency combination of Mandelic and Malic Acids to rapidly even skin tone, reduce breakouts, and soften wrinkles - all problems which my aging skin is experiencing.
I’ve used the product three times on the right side of my face. I chose to do this to see if there were noticeable changes. I also use a 15x mirror so I see every flaw. Upon the first use I was a bit surprised to find that the product, which is thinner than a lotion, dries to a sticky finish. Since it’s used at night, before bedtime, I found it strange and didn’t like the way my hair stuck to my face. By morning it was gummy and rubbed off - a bit annoying. I didn’t mind the light scent and had no other issues with it except the occasional burning in my eye when I got too close.
Upon the 3rd application, there was a noticeable difference between my left and right side as far as wrinkling around the eye and the crepiness on my upper eyelid. I was so thrilled with the results that I’m now using that 15x mirror to make sure I cover every inch of my right side. Will it make the deep vertical frown line in my brow go away? Not likely, but the crows feet and crepiness are showing marked improvement so I’m thrilled. It hasn’t, so far, made too much difference in the size of my pores, granted I inherited extra-large pores from my mother, but the wrinkle improvement alone is worth the cost of the bottle ($44*). I’m also looking forward to seeing if it lightens the skin discolorations around my eyes (age spots).
It has reduced my acne. I chose to treat the right side of my face because it’s the side that breaks out more often (yes, even at nearly 50 years old, I have daily breakouts). So far I’m experiencing about half the normal amount of acne. The stickiness and later flaking are a small price to pay for the great improvements it’s producing.
The bottle design is attractive and the pop-up lid a fabulous feature. No extra cap to misplace and no accidental dispensing of the product. The amount necessary on a daily basis is just a drop or two, so I expect this 50ml bottle to last several months.
I’ll continue to use the product on my right side for about a month - I expect the improvements to continue and am looking forward to starting it on my left side so it can catch up. Now that I see how fabulous the HP Skin Refinisher is I’ve started looking around the SkinCareRX site for additional products to solve problems that I have. The website is easy to navigate and you can shop by skin type, problem, brand, or treatment. I fall under Aging and found a wealth of information there about my skin type. I especially appreciate that they have subcategories - I’m oily/aging.
